Echoes of New Orleans Drum & Bugle Corps

Established in 2004, Echoes of New Orleans began as an alumni corps under the sponsorship of The Greater New Orleans Drum Corps Association. Echoes original membership was made up mostly of alumni from the several corps that once represented New Orleans and the surrounding area.

While our core membership still traces their roots to these great historic corps, today Echoes membership is open to anyone aged 14 or older with an interest in Drum Corps performance. Our folks range from DCI champions to those having no prior experience.

Echoes is a weekend only, “all-age” drum and bugle corps, currently appearing as a parade and exhibition unit. Our commitment is to put on a quality performance that challenges the membership and entertains the audience. But we do not want to lose sight of our primary goal: for members to enjoy the activity and have fun.

For those who like to work behind the scenes, additions to our support staff are always welcome. There are plenty of ways for those who are not inclined to perform to be involved and share the experience. Many members bring their families to rehearsals and performances, and social activities in GNODCA also encourage full family participation.

2012 Mardi Gras Parades

"Echoes Drum & Bugle Corps of New Orleans", our all age Corps, marched in two parades in Metairie, Caesar and Isis, this season. "Echoes" played "Bourbon Street Parade", "Mardi Gras Mambo" and "Big Chief" while the drum line also premiered the new street beat "Echoes Sambalaro". The group sounded and looked awesome as they passed the reviewing stands. We would like to thank all of the members and friends that came out and marched, the staff members who organize us, and last but not least our chaperone/hydration personnel. We especially would like to welcome our new members and friends and recognize them for their contributions to the success of this parade season!

Although both parades proved to be weather challenging, with Caesar Parade being windy and cold and Isis Parade being a bit wet and windy, Echoes put on a quality show. Isis had to delay the beginning of the parade due to pre-parade rains, but once the parade started, the rains held off.
