NOVA is a week-end only, all-age GNODCA performance unit formed with the intention of offering performance opportunities that serve as an extension to Echoes' performance opportunities using different sets of musical books geared to varied performance opportunities.  Membership in GNODCA is required in order to participate in any activities of NOVA.  Participation in other GNODCA performance units is highly encouraged. Family participation is also welcomed and encouraged.

NOVA offers the opportunity to engage in weekend activities, mostly small non-competitive exhibition performance units, such as an ensemble(s) or mini-corps, mostly in the southeast Louisiana region or just beyond that only on rare occasions. The performance venues will offer mostly stand-still exhibition events, mostly indoor with some possibly outdoor that are not traditional drum corps events, such as fairs, sports events, winter guard & percussion shows and the like, with possible limited entry into more traditional DCA drum corps events only when and where it is feasible.
