Rehearsal Schedule The Crescent City Cadets beginner drum and bugle corps will meet on selected Saturdays beginning 1/23/10 and continuing through 4/10/10. The full unit rehearsals will be held at St. Francis Xavier School, 215 Betz Place (off Metairie Road) in Metairie, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Tentative performances are scheduled at a color guard show, color guard circuit championships in Thibodaux and St. Francis Xavier Metairie Festival. The Crescent City Cadets, under the direction of Mr. Mark Richards, is a beginning drum and bugle corps, offering an introduction to and instruction in the field of marching music. Membership is open to all interested brass players and percussionists aged 8 to 16, with no prior experience required. New members are always welcomed. If you have a brass instrument such as a trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn, etc. and/or mouthpiece, please bring them to rehearsal. Drummers please bring drum sticks. We have approached that time of year once again! Echoes has begun rehearsing for the Mardi Gras parades. It will be here before we know it. Echoes has a rehearsal date planned for Jan. 17, 2010 at John Curtis from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Please make every effort to be there and pass the word around too. We want to make a nice showing for the 2010 parade season. |

Crescent City Winter Guard Auditions! Crescent City Color Guard will hold auditions at St. Francis Xavier School, 215 Betz Place in Metairie, on Saturday, October 17, 31 and November 14, 2009 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes. Please bring a rifle and sabre. Silks will be provided. Bring a friend.

The Crescent City Cadets will be performing their 2nd. Annual Concert Performance at Christmas in the Oaks. It will be held on Dec. 21, 2009 at 9:30 p.m. They will perform for thirty minutes. Let's everyone try to come out and support them. |

The GNODCA is happy to announce that the GNODCA Tuition Assistance Program has been renewed for the upcoming 2010 drum corps season. Applications are open to all people marching in any competitive junior drum corps. A $500 award will be given to one member in each of the three sections: Percussion Division, Horn Division, and Guard Division. |
